floor. Now, the SP-series has
been developed as a great compliment to the Clef series. The solid core SP-series has been
designed for better power delivery in applications such as power amps or line
conditioners. Use the stranded
Clef series on front end component and the solid core SP series on power amps
and conditioners to get the best of both worlds.
All the cables terminations are done by crimping to give a
solid connection while eliminating the sonic influence of metals in
solder. The SP-series are one of the most flexible solid-core cables on
the market which makes connection and routing of cables in your system much
easier. As you move up in the range, you will hear improvement
from across the whole spectrum. You'll notice greater extension at the
frequency extremes as well as improved soundstage, focus, and three-dimensionality.
Starting with the SP-5.1 and higher
models, individually shielding the conductor eliminates cross talk between
conductors and provides for further noise-floor reduction.
Starting with the SP-6.1 and higher
models, GutWire's ERP (Electron Rectification
Process) is employed. The
ERP is a passive filtering process that is applied parallel along the
conductor.
New to the SP-series is the use of Binchō-tan. Binchō-tan
is a type of white charcoal that has some very special properties. GutWire's proprietary
process combined with this unique natural mineral has the effect of emitting
negative ions which absorb EMI/RFI.
By reducing the noise floor even further, you get the benefit of
noticing the subtle micro-dynamics which makes the sound even more real and
lifelike.
