Anniversary Edition: To celebrate 40 years, Acoustic Energy has re-engineered the AE1 from scratch, preserving its iconic sound while integrating modern enhancements.

Features:

Tweeter: A newly designed larger 29mm voice coil and aluminium dome provides lower distortion and better power handling. Still ferrofluid cooled and damped, it replicates the original’s clarity and bandwidth, but with obvious improvements.
Woofer: Redesigned to match the original’s natural midrange and dynamics, the larger 125mm aluminium cone moves more air and uses a rare ‘spinning’ process and ceramic coating for strength and efficiency. A new shorting ring reduces distortion and lowers power requirements.
Crossover & Sound Profile: Inspired by the AE1 Signature, the crossover delivers a warm, dynamic sound tailored for home use, with clear but forgiving highs and punchy bass.
Cabinet Design: Finished in a 10-layer high-gloss coated black or walnut veneer, the cabinet uses RSC material for enhanced stiffness, echoing the original’s concrete-lined build. Updated flared ports improve bass output and reduce distortion.
