After a 14 year hiatus, Alison Krauss & Union Station have come together for this new release. For those that have been patiently waiting, you’re in for a treat! The usual bandmates that have made this group famous are still here including Jerry Douglas and Dan Tyminski. Now, we also have the addition of Russell Moore who provides the vocals on standout track “The Hangman”. This is not only a stunning track musically, but sounds absolutely incredible on a great system. If the deep bass present at 1:25 and other areas going forward in the track isn’t very present, you may need a subwoofer or two. It’s not overblown at all, but weighty and extended.
