Combo – Meze 109 Pro and Cayin RU7

Take what is probably the most universally praised headphone at its price point, the Meze 109 Pro, and add the stunning Cayin RU7 resistor ladder DAC/amp for an absolutely phenomenal combo. 

The Cayin’s 1-bit resistor ladder DAC supports high-res PCM and DSD and then converts to your choice of DSD64/DSD128/DSD256 before the signal goes to the RU7’s DAC circuit. The power, detail and natural tonality provide exquisite sound and musical engagement that is class leading at this price point.

While this combo will be superb on its own, we’d say it should pretty much be mandatory to add either the Meze 4.4mm Balanced Headphone Upgrade Cable or Meze 4.4mm Premium Balanced Headphone Upgrade Cable. In the context of this combo, it doesn’t really add that much to the price, but gives you the advantage of running balanced via Cayin’s 4.4mm Pentaconn connector.
