Combo – Meze 109 Pro and iFi xDSD Gryphon

Take what is probably the most universally praised headphone at its price point, the Meze 109 Pro, and add the EISA award winning iFi xDSD Gryphon headphone amp/DAC for an absolutely phenomenal combo. 

Hardwire the iFi xDSD Gryphon to your phone or computer via USB-C to technically get the best sound possible or utilize the highest quality Bluetooth codecs such as LDAC on the latest Android phones (such as Samsung) to get incredible portal sound. Actually, the sound is so good via Bluetooth between your device and the Gryphon (unless you’re an Apple iOS user, sorry) that you’ll probably find there is really no need to hardwire via USB. 

The ultra-low jitter Burr Brown DAC supports all the file formats and resolutions you want or need and the options of XBass and XSpace allow you to add subtle changes to accommodate your listening preferences or tweak individual recordings.

While this combo will be superb on its own, we’d say it should pretty much be mandatory to add either the Meze 4.4mm Balanced Headphone Upgrade Cable or Meze 4.4mm Premium Balanced Headphone Upgrade Cable. In the context of this combo, it doesn’t really add that much to the price, but gives you the advantage of running balanced via iFi’s 4.4mm Pentaconn connector.
