IsoAcoustics OREA series eliminates parasitic vibrations which are detrimental to sound quality. Use the low-profile machined OREA isolators under audio components such as DACs, preamps, music servers, amplifiers, CD players, turntables and speakers or subwoofers as well.
OREA isolators provide a suction cup like effect both connecting to the underside of the component and top side of the surface below. All the vibration is managed within the OREA itself. Isolation using OREA will provide greater clarity, definition and openness resulting in a more natural 3D sound. The increase in transparency allows the ability to greater suspend belief the sound is coming from speakers and sounds more like a live performance. This equates to an increase in overall musical enjoyment, and that’s what it’s all about!
Each OREA model is optimized for a certain weight. 3 or 4 isolators per component is typically recommended depending on the model and weight they are supporting or component configuration. For an audio component with uneven weight distribution, 3 isolators may be the best solution where 2 of the isolators are placed where there is the greatest weight (ie. 2 isolators in the back and 1 in the front in a case where a heavier power supply is located in the back of the component).
Note: while this chart shows the weight capacity of each model for the number of isolators listed, if very close to the weight limit, you may have better results moving to the next higher model. The optimal weight to isolate is approximately 80% of the total weight capacity. As an example, 3 Bronze isolators have a total weight capacity of 24 lbs, but 3 would most optimally isolate 80% of that weight (19 lbs). If close to the upper limit of 24 lbs, you may want to consider adding a 4th Bronze or go to 3 Indigo. IsoAcoustics has made it easier and can help you with the Product Selection Wizard (link below).
