Pylon Opal 23

Floor Standing Speaker

The Opal 23 loudspeaker is a two-way design based on the Pylon Audio PSW 18.8 CS characterized by very good measurements. The applied cured paper membrane offers selective sound. The top of the band was entrusted to a 25mm silk dome tweeter, which thanks to its compact size allowed the acoustic centers of the loudspeaker system to be closer together.

The Opal 20 speakers, like the larger Opal 23 model, offer above-average intelligibility in the midrange. It is a speaker that you can successfully use in a home recording studio, yet it does not delve into an analytical signature. Hours of listening to every kind of music are pure pleasure.

The set enables comfortable listening from a short distance while the soundstage is suggestive and provides separation of sound from the speakers. The sound is saturated with well-controlled bass, giving the songs compactness and speed. Overall detail and insight into the recording is a strong point of the entire Opal line.

The 18 mm body is connected to a 22mm baffle, designed to reduce any vibrations in the front wall. Additionally, internal bracing is also used to create a more stiff and inert structure.

The speakers are ideally suited to 20-40 m2 rooms.

Stereo and Color Underground (Google translated)

"Jarociński loudspeakers have a fast and massive sound with a surprisingly clear and orderly scene, holographic stereophony and excellent tonal saturation. The sound is generally compact, symmetrical and fast. There is a buzzing in it the lively color of medium frequencies, which are not directly exposed, but are also not hidden. They are simply visible and legible. Instruments and vocals are not only primarily focused in space, but also have a significant structure and heavy weight - they are respectively voiced, and at the same time have a natural shape and dimension. The sound is perceived as direct, tangible and vivid, that is, as reliable and communicative. Thanks to this, the listening sessions give the impression of being in the "sound stream", the real presence in the concert hall, the sensual proximity of the performers. "

With an additional midbass driver and extra cabinet volume over the Pylon Opal 20, the Opal 23 plays bigger with the ability to fill larger rooms. The sensitivity is also higher which will allow it to play louder than the Opal 20 with the same amount of power. This makes the Opal 23 a great affordable speaker for larger spaces. We don’t think we’ve ever heard a speaker this good for the money!
